This year our goal is to raise $45,000 for Panama Covid Relief and MCC Buckets of Hope. For information on this years Advent Giving Project please click here.  As part of this project each of FGCC’s sites are focusing on a local ministry. As Attridge, we are focused on the Bridge on 20th. They are offering a “Christmas Community Lunch” and are collecting supplies to make this happen. Please click here for ways you can support them. There are many other needs in our community and we encourage individuals and small groups to give generously this year.

Thank you Janine O’Hara, and all the volunteers for your involvement in the collecting of shoeboxes. The Saskatoon area collected approximately 3000 boxes which was down about 2000 from last year. However, online shoeboxes more than doubled across Canada, 21,000 up from 10,000. Janine says thanks to everyone who showed up to help to collect boxes and load the truck. Please continue to pray for all those receiving the shoeboxes that they would connect with a local church and hear about the love of Christ at Christmas.

Since Fall 2019 Don Froese has been serving as a Transition Pastor  focusing on the Corporate Worship Gathering at Attridge. Don has been building worship teams and working with others to discern the skills and values needed in the area of worship. Due to Covid-19 much of this work was put on hold through Spring and Summer 2020. After discussion we have mutually agreed to extend Don’s contract until June 30, 2021 (with an option to go into the summer). Don is a gifted leader and we are excited to see him continue to bring leadership to the Corporate Worship Ministry at Attridge. The formal process to hire a worship pastor will begin in early 2021.

Each year Bible School and Seminary students are able to apply for an FGCC bursary as a way for our church to support and encourage theological education. Congratulation to Marley Berge (Briercrest Seminary) and Sara McPhail (Horizon College) on receiving this year’s FGCC bursaries. Thanks to the generosity of the congregation (in November 2019 towards a special project) we were able to bless each of them with a semester of paid Bible School. Both recipients are very thankful for the support from the church!

Sharing the transforming power of Jesus with one another is a great encouragement to each of us. Please respond to the following 5 questions (1 page typed, or 2-3 minute video). Send your responses to Grace.
1) When did Jesus first get your attention?
2) What is a faith marker (or key moment in your faith)  that you have experienced?
3) What is Jesus doing in your life right now? (Be as current as possible, like during the pandemic)
4) What is a favourite scripture and why?
5) Why do you love our church?

The end goal of this exercise is not to just encourage one another so that we feel good, positive, and faith filled, although those are all good things. The reason we encourage one another and build one another up is so that we have renewed hope and passion to go into the world with the transforming message that Jesus has risen from the dead! He is the one who we can put our hope in! Jesus saves us from this world and adopts us as children of God! As we reflect on his power in our lives, and are encouraged by the stories of other believers, let’s serve others and proclaim the gospel to everyone we interact with. It is normal to feel anxious and afraid while we deal with the effects of Covid 19. It is a stressful time for everyone, and we understand the effects that it may have on an individual’s mental health. If you or someone you know is struggling, remember you do not have to go through it alone.  If you need someone to pray with you or need help finding resources, please contact Delores at or Angela at
