Prospective Council Members

Brooke Epp

My name is Brooke Epp and it brings me a great sense of excitement to be considered as a candidate for joining council. I have been attending Forest Grove since moving to Saskatoon from Prince Albert in 2010, but the beginning of my journey with the Lord dates back to being introduced to Him by a close friend and seeing Him at work at Camp Kadesh in my high school years. One year ago I completed my schooling as a Speech-Language Pathologist, and prior to being on maternity leave I had the privilege of working with those with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. My husband Mitch and I have been married for almost 7 years and are new parents to our daughter Scotia who was born 4 months ago. In our spare time we love camping, hiking, road trips, and playing board games. I also enjoy spending time with close friends over a cup of coffee or a meal in our home.

Janice Block

Forest Grove Community Church has been my church for pretty much all of my life since I was a toddler.  I grew up as a missionary kid, born in India and living there and in Ethiopia until I was a teenager when my family returned to Saskatoon.  I was baptized and became a member in 1981 in what was then Nutana MB Church.  Over the years I have been involved in Youth, College and Career, ushering, missions committees and Council (2011-2017).  I have also been a part of a few different small groups over the years and they have been vital in keeping me connected to God and others and providing spiritual and emotional support.  I work as a physical therapist at Royal University Hospital.  God has gifted me in administration.  I desire to serve him wholeheartedly and am humbled to be asked to serve him by being on Council again.
