SOAR Saskatchewan is a 10 day discipleship and mission training program run by Multiply (the mission organization in the Mennonite Brethren denomination). It happens here in Saskatoon during the February school break. Teams from around Saskatchewan eat, sleep, learn, and worship together and then go out into the city to learn and serve.

Throughout the 10 days participants will spend a weekend of orientation including a learning tour through the vulnerable sector of Saskatoon, a day focused on prayer, and some team time. They’ll then spend Monday to Friday working with a ministry assignment in Saskatoon. In the past SOAR has partnered with organizations like The Bridge on 20th, The Lighthouse, The Friendship Inn, and Central Haven Senior’s Care Home.

Forest Grove Community Church – Attridge is the host site where participants will eat, sleep, learn and worship together. Volunteers are needed in the kitchen for food prep and serving meals daily. This year we will have two sleeping sites at FGCC and Erindale Alliance Church so volunteers are needed to clean at each site. There is also a need for childcare during the evening sessions for two groups (2 years old and older // under 2 years old). Sign up as family, individual, or small group to serve and see what God is doing in our city through SOAR! Evening worship and training times are open to visitors as well!
