Attridge Electives Jan – May 2020
We encourage you to consider joining one of our Attridge Electives at 10:15am, in between the two Sunday services. You can choose to attend our 9am service and then go to one of our Attridge Electives, or you can arrive at the church at 10:15am for one of our Attridge Electives and then attend our 11am service. Our hope is that this will provide more options to our congregation.
Attridge Electives will not be held on long-weekends
Great elective options Sundays at 10:15
The Whole Story – Location: Board Room Upstairs
Even though the Bible was written over a period of 1600 years, by over 40 authors on different continents, it describes one incredible story of God’s faithfulness to His people, and His desire to dwell with us forever. In this discussion-based class we will discover how each of the stories in the Bible reveal God’s heart for restoration and point us toward our Redeemer.
This class will walk through the stories of the Bible reflecting on four questions: How does this story relate to the Old Testament? How does this story relate to the New Testament? How does this story relate to Jesus? How does this story relate to us today? This elective will be taught by Vi Petkau.
Blessed Benedictions and Dynamic Doxologies – Location: Lounge
What is a doxology? Is it simply a song with that title that we sometimes sing before a meal? What is a benediction? Is there anything that happens when a minister speaks a benediction over the congregation or when we say to each other “the Lord bless you”? Throughout these sessions we will look at doxologies and benedictions that are found throughout the Scriptures, perhaps the oldest being from Numbers 6:24 – 26 – “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”. This elective will be taught by Ralph Gliege.
Power-Up – A Family Elective – Location: Family Ministries Room

Our family elective is not a drop off program, so parents attend with their children(up to Grade 6). This elective is led by our Director of Children’s Ministries, Jodi Enns and the PowerUp Team.
