"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
(Acts 1:8)

Jesus gives this mission of God to this rather unimpressive group of 11 remaining disciples. Here, by the power of the Holy Spirit, emerge the seeds of the early church and the missional pulse that continues to beat over 2,000 years later. God’s mission has a church - and every local expression is called to that same radical call of obedience as these early disciples. As we look to the future of our local church called Forest Grove Community, we want to do so by reviewing the history of our own faith community alongside the risk taking obedience of the early church in "How it all began!"
