I have had the privilege of serving as Lead Pastor since 2004 and continue to see God stretching and growing each one of us as we strive to walk in faith. One of my life verses is 2 Timothy 1:7 that "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." It seems I need to re-claim different aspects of that truth every week. Personally, I love the outdoors and almost any sport involving water, I still try to play hockey, and the way I get "re-created" on my days off is to put on a tool belt and work with my hands (especially woodworking). My wife Lisa and I are also kept busy with our four beautiful daughters.

I like to think of life and living it to the full, as worship. My role as Worship Pastor is to "fan into flame" the many talented musicians/artists in our church and to inspire all of us to be worshipers. I also have the privilege of working with our young adults. My passion is to call this generation to not give up on the church...but to lay down their lives for "Her."

"It is a delight to serve God here at Forest Grove Community Church as Pastor of Family ministries." My passion is to lead people into a deeper walk with Jesus so that together we can fulfill the calling that God has initiated in all of us. We are to all share the love of God in word and deed with everyone in this city, to the river, and beyond to the world. I am married to my beautiful wife Kathy and together we were gifted with two sons who have married two wonderful women. We have three grandchildren who are the loves of our lives. We love camping and spending as much time as we can together."

Dale Dirksen
I have been serving at Forest Grove since summer of 2009. My role involves pastoral integration - helping different areas of the ministry work well together for a common mission. This is central to my heart and passion. I am also a musician and love playing different kinds of music. My most recent musical adventure is to learn how to play congas. I enjoy being outside a lot. My wife Rebecca and I do a lot of hunting and fishing together. I also like mowing the lawn when I can get the lines really straight (weird). We have two daughters who are in university.

I am excited to be serving as the Director of Missions at Forest Grove. I have a passion to see people's lives transformed through mission experiences locally and globally. I enjoy learning about other cultures and people groups and believe everyone should take the opportunity to go on a short term mission trip, if they are able. Your view of the world, people, and God will never be the same! I am married to Scott, and we have 3 great children: Marley, Brittany and Carter. My family is such an amazing gift to me. In my spare time I love reading, playing games, drinking tea with friends, and going on family road trips!
