GroveYouth Leadership Team

At GroveYouth, we desire to have passionate and committed volunteers who realize that working in youth ministry is a calling and a privilege. It is often a difficult job and can seem unrewarding at times, but the moments in which you are able to see the fruits of your labour are extraordinary.

Qualifications to Apply

  • You are a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ
  • You regularly attend Forest Grove Community Church or another local church (exceptions may be made)
  • You have read and understood the GroveYouth Leadership Team Manual (link manual)
  • You have read and understood the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith
  • You must have a successful criminal record check in by the end of September. This can be done at the church and must be renewed every four years.
  • You must attend GroveYouth Leadership Training to the best of your ability
  • Jr. High leaders must be Grade 12 or older
  • Sr. High small group leaders must be at least 1 year out of high school // Those younger may apply for our program or hospitality teams.
  • If you are a NEW APPLICANT or are RETURNING AFTER A 1 YEAR+ BREAK from serving at GroveYouth (these things are found under the New Leader Tab):
    • You must sign up for a brief interview.
    • You must acquire references from two people – one being an adult (18+ who is not immediate or extended family) from Forest Grove Community Church and one being someone who has supervised you – by sending them the link to our reference form. This is your responsibility!

You will be contacted by email and phone by Monday, August 27, 2018.
