For followers of Jesus, Advent has historically been a season of waiting. The main focus for Christians has been waiting for the second coming of Christ. Of course we also remember and celebrate with those who waited for His first coming. Advent has always had a sense of the Kingdom of God – issues related to justice, poverty, simplicity, evangelism and sacrifice. At Forest Grove Community Church, we want to focus on Kingdom causes during Advent as well. For each of the four weeks of Advent, you will be invited to join in the Kingdom of God by worshiping fully, spending less, giving more and loving all.
